*English language practices of poetic writing and translation
*Some understanding of traditions of writing poetry in Spanish, in Spain and Spanish America, encompassing all period, from El Cid to the present day.
It will discuss major figures: Borges, Neruda, Manrique, Góngora, Quevedo, etc... As well as anonymous cancioneros and romanceros.
On the English-language side: Pound, many poet-translators, scholars, etc...
